All data we collect is anonymous. When events are triggered they are sent to our private database that only Toast employees have access to. We do not share that information with third parties.
You are free to turn off analytics at any time. If you do, we will send a flag to let us know how many users have disabled analytics. After this no other analytics are sent to us. No analytics data is recorded on device at any time.
Types of data collected:
App version: To better enable us to support legacy versions of the app.
OS version: To help inform us what features of user devices we can support.
Device region and language: To inform us what regions and languages we could add localisation support for in the future. This includes the current region and language you have set as well as your other preferred regions and languages.
Device type: So we know what the most popular device sizes are in our userbase.
App has been opened: To help us identify the conversion rate of users who download the app.
New game has been started: So we know how many session the app has had.
Have analytics been disabled: So we know the percentage of users who aren’t interested in having analytics enabled.
Has the link to rate Lifecast been tapped: So we can understand our conversion rate for ratings on the App Store.
Were counters used: To inform decision making about future features. This includes which counters were used.
Which format was used: To inform decision making about future features.
What themes have been used: To inform decision making about future features.
How long each game session was: So we know how long users spend in the app to inform decision making about future features. We track the session duration in amount of seconds and send that session information to our database every five minutes.
